Friends of Shenandoah Mountain (FSM), a long-time ABRA member, has proposed that a 90,000-acre tract of the George Washington National Forest be designated by Congress as a National Scenic Area. FSM has just created a virtual tour of the proposed Scenic Area site.

Results of the 2020 U.S. Census are expected to be released by or before April 30, according to a recent statement by the acting director of the Census Bureau. The Census results will become the basis of the once-a-decade reapportionment of the 435 seats in the U.S.
The U.S. House Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (part of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform) has asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to address several issues involving conflicts between landowners and natural gas pipeline companies.
