The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will be releasing by November 19 the final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the restoration work that must be done on the route for the now-cancelled Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP). The SEIS will be a crucial document in FERC’s approval for the restoration plans submitted earlier this year for the ACP and the related Supply Header Project.
FERC urged to require a Supplemental EIS for the MVP
Twenty conservation organizations (including ABRA and several of its members), urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on September 13 to require a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) regarding the project’s application for an amendment to its FERC certificate.

Conservation groups contend MVP must file supplemental EIS
Comments were filed April 15 with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) urging that the agency require the Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC file a supplemental Environmental Impact Statement before passing judgment on the company’s March 16 request for authority to change the method by which the Mountain Valley Pipeline project would cross 182 waterbodies from a dry open-cut method to one of several trenchless methods.
Forest Service Releases Draft Supplemental EIS for MVP
The Supervisor of the Jefferson National Forest (JNG), Joby Timm, announced on September 25 the availability of a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP). The action is pursuant to a July 30 Notice of Intent from the Forest Service (see ABRA Update of July 30).
FERC Is Asked to Conduct New Environmental Analysis for MVP
