West Virginia House of Delegates Condemns Those Opposing the ACP
The lead article in the March 7 ABRA Update reported that the Rules Committee of the West Virginia House of Delegates had approved a resolution (House Resolution 11) condemning “assaults on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline and other urgently needed energy infrastructure projects.”
Resolution Condemning ACP Foes Progresses in WV House of Delegates
A resolution condemning the “assaults on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline” (ACP) from citizen groups was approved by the Rules Committee of the West Virginia House of Delegates on March 6. The proposal was tentatively scheduled for a floor vote before all 100 members of the House of Delegates on March 7 (at this writing had not been taken up).
WV Rivers Fires Back at House Resolution Condemning ACP Opponents
A resolution introduced in the West Virginia House of Delegates that would condemn citizen groups opposing the Atlantic Coast Pipeline has been strongly opposed by the West Virginia Rivers Coalition (WVRC), an ABRA member. House Resolution 11 condemns “assaults on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline” and urges “the groups spearheading these assaults to stop their attacks and delaying actions and in the process help pave the way for a cleaner and stronger energy future for West Virginia and for the entire nation.”
