Governor Younkin announced on May 13 the following appointments to the Virginia State Air Pollution Control Board:
- James Patrick Guy II of Saxe, General Counsel, Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative
- Jay Holloway of Richmond, Managing Partner, Climate Law &
Bernard McNamee, the most recent appointee to the Federal Energy Regulatory (FERC) Commission, announced on January 23 that he will not seek reappointment when his current term expires on June 30, 2020. McNamee, a former partner in the Richmond law firm of McGuireWoods,
Cheryl LaFleur, a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) who was the lone dissenter in the 2-1 approval of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, announced January 31 that she will not seek reappointment to the Commission when her current term expires in June.
The resignation of Robert Powelson as a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) takes effect August 4 (see article in ABRA Update of June 29). To date, there has been no announcement from the White House regarding the timing of a nomination to fill the vacancy.
